The Arlington Firefighters Relief Association (AFRA) has been around in one form or another since 1891.

Please visit the Relief Association web site to learn more: www.arlingtonfirerelief.org

It was established to assist firefighters that may have been injured while performing their duties.

Today, our purpose is to provide support to families of our deceased members (active and retiree’s) by offering a death benefit.  We take pride in a quick response to a death notification and providing the family with funds to immediately assist with funerals, wakes, flowers or other costs incurred at the time of death.

Cancer is the leading cause of death of our members.  According to a 2013 National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) STUDY, firefighters have a 9% higher risk of being diagnosed with cancer and a 14% higher risk of dying from cancer than the general public.

In the past the Association would raise money by hosting a Fireman's ball at the town hall, well attended by residents and enjoyed by all.  We are back asking for your help again and want to ensure that 100% of contributions received will go directly into the Association.  This is the only request that you will receive from the Arlington Firefighters Relief Association this year and you will never receive phone calls to your home.

Your contribution is greatly appreciated by all the members of the Association.  If you wish to support the fundraiser please make your donation payable to "Arlington Firefighters Relief Association"
